Rashmi Bandekar, D.P.T.
Rashmi Bandekar's entry into the physical therapy world began with her own injuries as a teenager involved in competitive athletics. With this experience as a patient, she developed her love for helping others return to activities that are most important to them. She acknowledges the effects of pain, immobility, and the inability to participate in our surroundings as these factors affects a person's quality of life.
Rashmi was born in Munich, Germany and traveled significantly when she was a child. Yet, she primarily grew up in south Orange County. She received her Bachelor's in Science degree in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 2010 and recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Doctor in Physical Therapy degree.
Although a new physical therapist, Rashmi brings the drive to excel in her surroundings from her background of athletics as well as empathy for her patients due to her experience of being a patient herself. She has an interest in Women's and Men's Health as well as working with higher-level athletes. She plans to eventually specialize in orthopedic physical therapy to provide exceptional care to all of her patients.
Personally, Rashmi enjoys spending time with family and friends outdoors – with food from all over the world! She enjoys watching and playing sports, as well as practicing yoga.
